Champions League: Girona coach, Michel names team to reach final between Real Madrid, Man City

Girona coach, Michel, has backed Manchester City to beat Real Madrid and qualify for the Champions League final this season.

Real Madrid and Manchester City will clash in the Champions League semi-final stage in May.

“It’s a very difficult tie for both of them, an early final.

“Right now we are in the City Group and because of my relationship with Pep Guardiola and his brother, Pere, I would like City to reach the final.

“But I also have friends in Madrid, it’s a Spanish team and if they win in the end it’s not a matter that I don’t like. But I prefer City to reach the final,” Michel said as quoted by AS before his team’s La Liga 4-2 win over Real Madrid on Tuesday at Montilivi.

Man City Football Group are owners of the La Liga club Girona.
