Carragher blasts 'disgraceful' Spurs

Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher, has branded Tottenham players “disgraceful” after they conceded five goals in the opening 21 minutes against Newcastle on Sunday.

Jacob Murphy opened the scoring for the host after just two minutes before other goals from Joelinton, Murphy and Alexander Isak produced an astonishing scoreline midway through the first half period at St James’ Park.

The match eventually ended 6-1 in favour of Newcastle as Harry Kane scored a consolation goal for Tottenham.

Reacting, Carragher wrote on Twitter: “Newcastle are brilliant, they have been all season.

“Tottenham are a disgrace! How have they gone to a back four for the first time this season, with [Pedro] Porro a full-back that can’t defend and [Ivan] Perisic who is a winger? Get a proper manager in right now, not Conte’s mate.”
