Villa boss Unai Emery is eager to find a top attacking signing to play alongside Ollie Watkins next season.
And it's emerged Toney is a major target for Emery.
Villa are willing to make an opening offer of £40m for the England international.
This season, Toney has scored 20 goals in 33 appearances, with five assists.
