Europa League: You’ve made a case for yourself – Scholes, Owen tells Man Utd attacker

Former Manchester United midfielders, Paul Scholes and Owen Hargreaves have hailed Facundo Pellistri, saying the Uruguayan young star has made a case for himself following his display in Red Devils’ 4-1 victory over Real Betis on Thursday.

The 21-year-old came on with eight minutes to play but he did enough to earn the praise of Scholes and Hargreaves.

Pellistri, in one notable occasion beat two Betis defenders on the edge of the box, before cutting the ball back across the six-yard box and the move resulted in Wout Weghorst’s goal.

“He’s made a case for himself tonight, Pellistri, he looked really quick down that right hand side,” Scholes said on BT Sport.

Hargreaves added, “I don’t know. I was amazed at how quick he was!”

Owen Hargreaves noted that Manchester United fans would love to see more of the player.
