EPL: It’s frustrating – Man United star opens up on treatment under Ten Hag

Manchester United star, Anthony Elanga has said that he is ‘frustrated’ with his lack of game time under Erik ten Hag.

Elanga, a product of the club’s youth setup, was a regular under previous manager but only features off the bench in the first half of the season under ten Hag.

The 20-year-old has played a total of just 49 minutes of football since January and was reported to be looking out for game opportunities elsewhere.

He was on the edge of joining Barcelona or Everton during the winter transfer window but it appeared ten Hag did not want him to make the move.

Elanga, who sat out Sweden’s 3-0 defeat to Belgium on Friday night, is conscious that he needs to be playing regularly at club level.

“It is frustrating. You want to play, it’s important. But whether you play or not, it’s up to the coach not me,” he told reporters.

“I have spoken to Erik and it is private between the two of us.”
