Real Betis coach Manuel Pellegrini says Antonio Cordon's departure is a blow.
The sporting director announced this week his intention to leave Betis.
Pellegrini said, "The exit is bad for the club, he has done a great job in these three years. With practically a zero budget we have managed to form teams that have allowed us to achieve very high sports performance, much higher than expected.
"The exit is complicated but he will have his reasons. In permanent conversations with him but he already gave a press conference. It is a loss for the club.
"I have already given my opinion. His decision is not related to my issue, mine is related to the club, not with a person, it does not have a direct relationship. I hope the club maintains an important level in the coming years without Antonio."
