Newcastle United under-21s boss Ben Dawson admits everyone is playing for their future this season.
The academy side are now entering the final part of their campaign.
Dawson wants every player to work their hardest to ensure they are a part of the club's plans for next season and beyond.
He told ChronicleLive: "We will be maximizing every minute.
“A lot of these lads at this level are probably out of contract at the end of the season so they can't afford to waste a minute.
"We can't afford to waste a minute, we want to try to utilize every second we can to make each one of them better and get them a career in football, whether that's with us or with somebody else.
“We're planning everything down to the finest detail."
