EPL: Ten Hag rates Man Utd’s chances of winning title as Arsenal, Man City drop points

Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag, has suggested that his team is not thinking about the title race this season.

Ten Hag instead wants Man United players to focus on remaining in the hunt for trophies until late April.

Man United are the only club left in England fighting for four trophies this season.

With Arsenal and Man City both dropping points in the last seven days, Man United has made it a three-horse race with a win against Leicester City on Sunday.

The Red Devils now are now three points behind second position Man City and five behind leaders Arsenal, who have a game in hand.

They will also face Barcelona in the Europa League in the coming days and Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.

Asked about Man United’s title chances, Ten Hag told Sky Sports: “I can understand the question, but we go from game to game, focusing on the next game because it is the most important game.

“What we’ve to do is in April or the end of April, we’ve to put ourselves in a position where we can win trophies. Nothing else.”
