EPL: He’s not worth it – Hasselbaink warns Chelsea against signing £124m worth Joao

Chelsea legend, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has warned the club against signing Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid.

The Portuguese completed a loan move from the Spanish giants in the just concluded winter transfer window.

Hasselbaink said the Blues must not pay big-money to sign the Portugal international permanently.

He opined that rather than signing Felix, they should try to prise Harry Kane away from Tottenham.

Chelsea paid £10million to bring the player on loan until the end of the season and the deal did not include an option to buy him outright.

Atletico Madrid are expected to sell the player for not less than the £106m the Blues spent on Argentina midfielder, Enzo Fernandez.

“Chelsea need a striker. Harry Kane might not want to come but Chelsea should try to persuade Harry Kane to join them,” Hasselbaink told Casinos En Ligne.

“He might say no, but at least they would have tried.

“Joao Felix is also not worth the reported £124million fee Atletico Madrid are asking for at this moment in time.”
