Christian Atsu’s last post before Turkey earthquake


Amid the whereabouts of Hatayspor winger, Christian Atsu after the Turkey earthquake last week, MCI reports the last posts of the Ghanaian footballer on social media.

Atsu has been trapped in the Turkey earthquake that occurred in the early hours of last Monday.

He is part of the numerous victims trapped in the Turkey earthquake that has claimed thousands of lives, and the toll is rising as a wide area was hit.

The former Chelsea and Newcastle United star came off the bench to score his first goal for Hatayspor as they defeated Kasimpasa 1-0 in the Turkish Super Lig last Sunday.

He was brought on in the 82nd minute for his third appearance of the season when he replaced Rayan Aabid.

The 31-year-old scored in stoppage time to take Hatayspor out of the relegation zone to the 14th position on the table.

MCI  reports that after the match last Sunday, Atsu took to his Twitter handle and Instagram account to express his happiness for scoring for his team.

He tweeted on February 5: “Important win for the team. Happy to be on the scoresheet @hatayspor.”

It was  reports that this was Atsu’s last tweet before the Turkey earthquake.
