Chelsea STOP new contract talks with Mount

Chelsea have STOPPED new contract talks with Mason Mount.

The Daily Mail says Chelsea have halted talks over a new contract for the 24-year-old, with the two parties 'a long way apart' on agreeing a new deal.

Mount has already rejected an offer, believing it to be below what other senior players and new signings at Stamford Bridge are now receiving.

The report claims that the England international wants to tripe his current £80,000 a week deal but has been offered significantly less that what news arrivals like Raheem Sterling of now getting at the West London club.

And with Chelsea spending over £300million on new recruits in January, including a British record £107million on midfielder Enzo Fernandez, Mount could be ready to move on.
