Chelsea prepare SIX big summer sales to balance books

Chelsea are planning six big summer sales to balance the books after their massive spend.

The Guardian says as many as six first-team stars could potentially be sold in the summer to make room for yet more first-team signings. Moroccan winger Hakim Ziyech is chief among those.

The former Ajax forward looked to be on the way out of Stamford Bridge on deadline day but saw a loan move to French giants Paris Saint-Germain collapse at the last second. A move could potentially be re-explored in a matter of months' time.

Fellow winger Christian Pulisic could also be sold. The American has never quite met expectations in West London since a switch from Borussia Dortmund.

Chelsea could also be tempted to cash-in on academy graduate Callum Hudson-Odoi. The wideman currently finds himself in the midst of a loan spell with German side Bayer Leverkusen but has not really impressed in the Bundesliga so could be set for a permanent exit - Arsenal having been credited with an interest.

Elsewhere, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is among those who could be jettisoned. The Gabonese only arrived from Barcelona in the summer but has endured a disastrous stint with the club so moving him on would make sense for the Blues.

Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic is among those who also could bid farewell.

Finally, Kalidou Koulibaly could potentially be set to leave the club. The Senegalese only arrived at Stamford Bridge for big money in the summer following an impressive spell with Italian giants Napoli. He has so far not managed to convince in the Premier League following a vast array of errors so could be very quickly moved on.
