Barcelona coach Xavi raps Man Utd winger Garnacho: You shouldn't do that

Barcelona coach Xavi has taken aim at Manchester United attacker Alejandro Garnacho.

The 18-year-old winger appeared to mock Barcelona starlet Pedri after last week's Europa League win.

Pedri, who missed the second leg through injury, typically celebrates his goal by putting his hands over his eyes to mimic wearing glasses, a tribute to his father who wears them.

Garnacho received a barrage of abuse from Barcelona fans on social media for uploading a picture of the celebration, and now Xavi has waded into the debate as well.

When quizzed on the incident, the Barcelona manager said: "It is a difficult question to answer. When the player is happy, all the anger and different injustices towards you come out. Each one expresses it as it comes out. There is a bit of empathy missing.

"I think you have to celebrate with your teammates and not celebrate as a provocation for the other."
