Ballon d’Or: Most decisive player in world football – Rivaldo backs forward to win award

Brazilian legend, Rivaldo, has backed Real Madrid forward, Vinicius, to win the Ballon d’Or in the next few years.

Rivaldo said Vinicius is the most decisive player in world football.

Vinicius was brilliant in Real Madrid’s Champions League round of 16 first-leg 5-2 win over Liverpool a few days ago.

In his column for Betfair, Rivaldo wrote: “After Real Madrid’s epic comeback over Liverpool in the Champions League, coach Carlo Ancelotti said that Vini Jr is today the most decisive player in world football and I agree with him.

“Today, he is a unanimous player at Real Madrid and I believe he will also be in the Brazilian national team and could easily meddle in the dispute for the Ballon d’Or in the coming years.”

Vinicius has scored 18 goals and has registered 9 assists in 35 games across competitions for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
