I’m delighted – Alex Ferguson reacts to Jurgen Klopp’s latest achievement


Sir Alex Ferguson has sent a message to Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp as the German reaches 1000 games as a manager.

Klopp’s game against Chelsea on Saturday marked his 1000 as a manager and the former Borussia Dortmund boss celebrated the remarkable milestone on Saturday.

The former Mainz boss has recorded great success both in his native Germany and in England with the Reds.

“I’m delighted to welcome Jurgen Klopp to the LMA [League Managers Association] 1,000 club,” Ferguson, who took charge of 2155 games in his legendary career, said.

Ferguson noted that during this period, the German boss has won many trophies both in Germany and England and is “undoubtedly one of the most gifted managers in world football ”

“The dedication and passion that Jurgen brings to the role are inspiring to anyone aspiring to a career in football management,” he added.

Sir Alex Ferguson, a Scottish former player, managed Manchester United from 1986 to 2013.

Many see him as one of the greatest men in history to have managed a football club and won more trophies than any other manager in the history of football

He managed East Stirlingshire in 1974 and from 1974–1978, he was the manager at St Mirren from where he joined Aberdeen and stayed there from 1978–1986 and from 1985–1986, he managed the Scottish national team.
