EPL: Really difficult moment – Man United’s Antony involved in car crash

Manchester United’s Brazilian import, Antony, was involved in a car crash recently.

The winger, who joined Manchester United from Ajax in a £85 million deal last summer, escaped unhurt after he smashed his BMW X6 into roadworks on the M56.

The incident happened just hours after he helped his club beat Wolves 1-0 at Molineux.

For this reason, Antony was not involved in United’s subsequent 3-0 win over Bournemouth on Tuesday.

He, however, returned to action for the 3-1 win over Everton in the FA Cup on Friday.

Antony only told reporters after the victory that it was a shocking incident to him but did not elaborate on it.

“I also feel relieved as in the last few days I had a shock,” he told TNT Sports.

“Really hard but I’m very grateful to God for putting this behind me now.

“It was a really, really difficult moment for me,” he said.

But a source told The Sun what actually happened to the Brazilian, disclosing that, “It was dark and wet and he made an error of judgement.

“He was shaken up but thankfully no one else was involved and he wasn’t injured.”
