EPL: He has point to prove – O’Rourke claims Man Utd flop returning to Old Trafford

 British journalist, Pete O’Rourke has claimed that Manchester United flop, Memphis Depay could be returning back to Old Trafford amid the January transfer window.

O’Rourke claimed that Depay has a point to prove after his failed first spell in the Premier League with Man United.

According to the transfer expert, Man United manager, Erik ten Hag knows his compatriot well, adding that the Netherlands international could eye a sensational return to Man United.

“Depay is another player that has been on the radar at [Manchester] United for a while and Erik ten Hag will know all about him from his Dutch contacts,” O’Rourke told GiveMeSport.

“It does seem like Depay will be moving on from Barcelona, so again, Depay might come back to Old Trafford and feel he has a point to prove after his first stint didn’t work out.”

Depay joined Barcelona in 2021 as a free agent after his contract expired with Lyon.
