Former Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher has criticized Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella for his second-half performance as they lost 1-0 to Manchester City on Thursday.
According to Carragher, the full back “doesn’t want to defend”.
Riyad Mahrez got the winning goal after he got ahead of Cucurella at the far post to tap home Jack Grealish’s cross.
“I wasn’t happy with Cucurella right throughout that second half until he came off,” Carragher told Sky Sports.
“If someone doesn’t want to defend, it’s actually worse. It looked to me like he didn’t want to defend in one-on-one situations.”
