Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has proclaimed Lionel Messi as the greatest of all time, ‘GOAT’ after his display for Argentina in the semi-finals of the FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar on Tuesday.

The 35-year-old 7-time Ballon d’Or winner will hope to claim the World Cup on Sunday to add to his outrageously decorated career.
Messi scored from the spot and provided an assist for Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez who netted twice in the game.
The Paris Saint-Germain star took the ball on the right flank and bamboozled rising star Josko Gvardiol into attempting a tackle before pulling away and finding Alvarez in the box.
Alvarez placed the ball past Livakovic in the 69th minute to seal a memorable win for Argentina.
