Lionel Messi has been described as humble and the best player in the history of football.
Alexis Mac Allister, Messi’s national teammate, said this after playing a key supporting role to the former Barcelona ace in Argentina’s World Cup triumph in Qatar.
Messi led Argentina to a 4-2 victory on penalties after a 3-3 draw with France.
When asked what made the difference in the final, Brighton’s Mac Allister replied: “It is always Messi, it is always Messi. He is fantastic.
“I think he is the best player in the world, the best player of all time.
“He is amazing, he is a really nice guy, he is humble, so he has everything to be the best player in history.”
