Marcus Rashford has vowed England “will be back” after Saturday night’s heartbreaking World Cup elimination by France
England lost 2-1 to France in a heartbreaking night for the Three Lions in the World Cup quarter-finals. Harry Kane unusually took a penalty which ultimately meant his side failed to make it to consecutive World Cup semi-finals.
In a tweet, Rashford thanked England fans for their “unconditional support” and vowed they would “be back” after Saturday night’s exit.
Rashford can leave Qatar with his head held high as he was England’s top scorer of the tournament with three goals. The Manchester United forward started just one game against Wales and has been a substitute in every other game.
