Leeds United are pushing ahead in the race to sign Atletico Madrid attacker Matheus Cunha this winter.
The Whites are very keen on adding the attacker, who was linked to Manchester United in the summer, to their squad in January
Cunha has struggled for regular game time at Atleti under Diego Simeone so far this season
The 23-year-old will be tempted by moving to a club in European competition.
However, Leeds believe the sporting project they can sell to Cunha will convince him to join.
Goal in Spain states that Leeds firmly believe they can convince Cunha to sign, but a deal will require a fee of around £26 million.
