Manchester United legend, Patrice Evra has said that Argentina defender, Lisandro Martinez could struggle at Old Trafford next season.
This is despite the World Cup winner’s impressive start to his Premier League career.
Martinez joined Manchester United in a £57 deal from Ajax and has impressed at Old Trafford.
He has so far eased the concerns that he might struggle at the Premier League and has formed an impressive centre-back partnership with Raphael Varane.
But Evra believes the 24-year-old’s current performances are no guarantee of long-term success.
“Lisandro Martinez has impressed me this season,” Evra told Betfair.
“He’s a pitbull.
“But next year people will know about Martinez, coaches will study him and they will know his weakness. He’s really aggressive so maybe people will try to get him sent off.
“Even if Lisandro plays well for the rest of this season, next year it will be tough for him, trust me.”
