World Cup: You want to steal Bruno Fernandes’ goal again – Chelsea legend slams Ronaldo

Former Premier League striker, Chris Sutton has accused Cristiano Ronaldo of trying to steal Bruno Fernandes’ goal during Portugal’s 2-0 win over Uruguay on Monday night

Portugal has joined France and Brazil in the round of sixteen after beating the South Americans in their second group game.

The 2016 European championship winners took the lead midway through the second-half when Ronaldo appeared to head in Fernandes’ brilliant cross.

But replays suggested that the former Manchester United forward did not touch the ball and the goal was later awarded to Fernandes. But Ronaldo had celebrated as if he had scored the goal.

Sutton, a former Chelsea striker, felt the football icon was trying to steal the goal, tweeting, “Ronaldo trying to steal Bruno’s thunder…again.”
