Erik ten Hag has insisted on Manchester United trying again for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong.
United and Barca struck terms for De Jong over the summer, with the Catalans eager to push him off their books.
However, De Jong dug in his heels and despite multiple conversations with his former Ajax coach Ten Hag, the midfielder refused to leave.
While frustrated, Ten Hag believes De Jong can yet be persuaded about moving to England.
The Times says United will try again for the Holland international over the winter market. A fee in the region of €80m has been mooted for the playmaker.
