Neil Bath has earned a promotion at Chelsea from his academy director's role.
The 57-year-old will become the director of football development and operations, giving him a seat at the table in first-team decisions
Bath, is highly respected after bringing through at Cobham a stunning generation that now plays for Chelsea's senior squad.
It is also an acknowledgment of Bath's growing influence under co-owner Todd Boehly after being supportive of his efforts during the new ownership's first transfer window.
Bath will join a raft of new hires on a 'transfer think tank' to help the club make decisions on incoming signings.
