Man Utd players expect Ronaldo to leave after World Cup

Manchester United players are not expecting Cristiano Ronaldo to be part of the squad when the Premier League resumes, ESPN reports.

Club bosses at Old Trafford have been discussing the 37-year-old’s future following his bombshell interview with Piers Morgan.

Co-chairman Joel Glazer, football director John Murtough, chief executive Richard Arnold and manager Erik ten Hag held a meeting on Monday.

The Red Devils have also sought legal advice about how best to solve the issue.

Ten Hag believes he cannot work with Ronaldo again after the forward said that he “doesn’t respect” the former Ajax boss.

And the Dutchman has communicated that view to the Glazers, Arnold and Murtough.

Majority of the squad now believes there is no way back for the Portugal captain, who is preparing to play in his fifth World Cup in Qatar.
