‘I’ve to say the truth’ – Cristiano Ronaldo reveals worst moment of his life

Manchester United superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo has opened up about the heartbreaking loss of his son this year.

Ronaldo said that losing his son was probably the worst moment that he passed through in his life since the death of his father many years ago.

The 37-year-old suffered the loss of his newborn son, one of the twins, with partner Georgina Rodriguez back in April.

The Portugal captain released a statement at the time to share the sad news: “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away.”

However, Ronaldo has now opened up about the devastating loss.

“Piers, it was probably the worst moment that I passed through in my life since my father died,” Ronaldo told Piers Morgan Uncensored.

“When you’ve a kid, you expect that everything will be normal and when you’ve that problem, it’s hard.

“As human beings as I’m, me and Georgina, we had quite difficult moments because we didn’t understand why it happened to us. It was difficult, to be honest. It was very difficult to understand what was going on in that period of our lives.

“As you know, football carries on so fast, so many competitions, the football doesn’t stop. Passing through that moment was probably the most difficult moment that I have had in my life, me and my family, especially Gio. That was tough.”

The former Real Madrid star added, “Gio arrived home and the kids started to say, where is the other baby, where is the other baby? “The other ones in the beginning, around the table, the kids start to say, ‘Mom, where is the other baby.’

“After one week, I say let’s be honest with the kids, Ángel, which is his name, he goes to Heaven. The kids understood, we shouted around the table and they said, ‘Daddy, I did this for Ángel,’ and they pointed to the sky.

“Which I like the most because he is part of their lives. I’m not gonna lie to my kids, I said the truth, which was a difficult process.”
