It doesn’t concern me – Bernardo Silva opens up on Ronaldo, Fernandes face-off

Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva has insisted that there is no ‘strange atmosphere’ between Manchester United teammates Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes in the Portugal camp.

Ronaldo and United teammate Fernandes are in Portuguese World Cup camp preparing for their first game against Ghana on Thursday.

“The news that comes from England has nothing to do with the national team so I won’t say anything,” Bernardo told reporters in Qatar.

“It doesn’t concern me, it concerns Cristiano. I don’t have to comment. It’s a matter for Cristiano, I’m not a Manchester United player and even if I was I would not answer that because we’re in the national team so I’m not going to talk about it.

He added: “I don’t see any strange atmosphere in our national team between Cristiano or Bruno.”

The midfielder said that questions about Ronaldo and Manchester United should be thrown at the 37-year-old, saying he is not a Red Devils player.

Silva insisted that Ronaldo is motivated and focused on the matter on ground – being the World Cup matches – and to help the country.’
