Brighton boss De Zerbi explains striker signing decision

Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi insists they do not need a striker signing in January.

De Zerbi was told his predecessor Graham Potter had become tired of questions about signing a 20-goal striker.

De Zerbi said: “Potter was right! I don't think we need a striker in January.

“Welbeck and Trossard are strong and ready to play the striker position.

“Okay, they are different. But they can also play together.

“I believe in (Kaoru) Mitoma, too. I want to give him a chance to play one, two or three in a row.

“I also want Solly March to score more. I want Solly to be focused to find the goal, shoot when one to one and play the last pass"
