Ayew brothers deserve Ghana bench’ - Fans slam Black Stars duo despite victory over Switzerland

The two brothers were in the starting line up as Ghana engaged in their last friendly game ahead of World Cup

Fans were not convinced by the performances of brothers Jordan and Andrew Ayew during Ghana's 2-0 friendly win against Switzerland on Thursday.

Both stars started, but Jordan was withdrawn in the 62nd minute as coach Otto Addo brought on Antoine Semenyo.

Semenyo went on to register his first ever national team goal as he scored the Black Stars second in the 74th minute. For this achievement, the Bristol City forward earned praise from fans, alongside Hearts of Oaks’ Daniel Barnieh – who was handed his first senior start for the Black Stars.
But it was the performance of the Ayew brothers that earned the ire of fans on Twitter, with Inaki Williams also copping criticism for going down to easily under challenges from Swiss players.
