UCL: It’s worrying, I don’t see how you’ll play for this team – Carragher tells Chelsea star

Former Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher has expressed worries over the condition of Christian Pulisic at Chelsea.

The former England star is worried that the 24-year-old American may not be fit enough for next month’s World Cup tournament in Qatar.

The USA international has struggled to find form and has not been considered to start a match for the Blues this season despite the sack of Thomas Tuchel as Chelsea boss.

Pulisic was an unused substitute during Chelsea’s 3-0 win over AC Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

And speaking on CBS Sports, Carragher was asked what he thinks about the American’s situation at Stamford Bridge, the former England star said, “Where we have been for the last two years with him in terms of his Chelsea career.

“But we haven’t seen much of him already. It’s early days for Graham Potter but Thomas Tuchel didn’t use him too much. Certainly the new manager [hasn’t] in these early games.

“So I think it’s a little bit worrying for America in terms of the World Cup. It doesn’t look like he’s going to be at his best.

“I think it’s really worrying for him because I just don’t see how he’s going to get the games.”
