Nottingham Forest are in a tough battle with Fulham to land Brazilian wonderkid Pablo Maia.
The newly promoted sides are both watching the youngster closely, with the midfielder impressing with Sao Paulo recently.
Fulham were seen as the team most likely to secure Maia for a fee of around £8.7 million.
However, Lance! suggests that a move is not yet finalized, but that his departure to the Premier League is very likely.
One offer has been rejected, but Sao Paulo believe that a transfer can be done in the coming weeks.
Fulham already have a pair of impressive Brazilians, veteran Willian and former Manchester United star Andreas Pereira.
