Liverpool won't rush team doc search

Liverpool are pressing ahead in their search for a new club doctor this season.

The Reds are struggling with injury issues throughout their squad over the past few months.

They have not had a chief doctor since Jim Moxon left in August, with academy doctor Bevin McCartan, club physician Sarah Lindsay, and Andreas Schlumberger working together at present.

According to the Liverpool ECHO, the Reds are taking their time to secure the ideal candidate.

They have not set a timescale on the appointment, as the present injury situation is not thought to be related to the absence of a chief club doctor.

One of the doctors at the club could be in line to secure the job, which would be a promotion from their current role
