Arsenal made an attempt for Carlos Soler before he joined PSG this summer.
The midfielder left Valencia for PSG in August.
However, Le Parisien says Soler first had an offer on the table from Arsenal before PSG made their approach.
The midfielder knew he was going to be a first-choice with the Gunners.
However, Soler backed himself to find a place at PSG and decided to make the move to Paris.
