Chelsea’s young forward, Carney Chukwuemeka has revealed what manager, Graham Potter told him before his introduction during the Blues’ 3-0 win Wolves.
Chukwuemeka made his Chelsea debut in the Premier League win over Wolves and revealed that his manager told him to express himself and play the game with smiles.
The 18-year-old attacking midfielder joined Chelsea from Aston Villa over the summer for £20m
Chukwuemeka has featured on Chelsea’s bench this season but had not made an appearance.
“Before coming on he [Potter] told me to express myself, to play how I have been in training and to play with a smile on myself. I think I did that so it was good,” he told reporters.
Chukwuemeka is one of the new signings to arrive at Stamford Bridge over the summer, with Chelsea owner, Todd Boehly spending more than £250m on new recruits
