De Bruyne becomes fifth all-time Premier League assist provider, overtakes Bergkamp’s record [top 5]

Manchester City playmaker, Kevin de Bruyne, has become the Premier League’s fifth all-time assist provider.

De Bruyne achieved the feat on Saturday during his side’s Premier League 4-0 win over Southampton.

The Belgium international gave Phil Foden a through ball against Southampton, which the England international converted.

His assist against Southampton means he has now provided 95 assists in the Premier League so far, which saw him overtake Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp (94 assists) into the top five.

It also put him on top of the pile for Manchester City assists – overtaking the club’s legend David Silva for the top spot.

Meanwhile, the likes of Frank Lampard (102 assists), Wayne Rooney (103 assists), Cesc Fabregas (111 assists), and Ryan Giggs (162 assists) are all above De Bruyne on the Premier League assist list.
