Arsenal have opened new contract talks with William Saliba.
The Athletic says an approach has been made to Saliba's management team to open preliminary discussions.
Saliba's current deal has just over 18 months to run and his impact this season has alerted the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid.
As such, Arsenal are eager to secure Saliba to a new contract extension.
The Gunners boast a 12 month option in Saliba's current deal, but wish to upgrade the arrangement.
