Tyson Fury reveals he has offered Anthony Joshua a 60-40 ''take it or leave it'' pay split for their mega fight

WBC and Lineal heavyweight boxing champion, Tyson Fury says he has offered Anthony Joshua a ‘take it or leave it’ split of 60-40 for their proposed fight in December.

Fury wants another fight before the end of the year and was prepared to face Oleksandr Usyk in an undisputed showdown, however, the Ukrainian gave several reasons he will not return to the ring until 2023.

After Fury made several call outs to Joshua on social media on Monday September 5,
Joshua told Fury that he will be available to fight Fury in December and that if he is serious, he should table an offer.

Now, Fury says a proposal of a 60-40 split has now been sent to Joshua’s camp and is adamant that the offer is fair due to the fact Joshua has lost three times in the last three years, and comes into the fight with no belts.

‘I’m being bombarded with messages on how much am I gonna pay AJ,’ Fury said on Instagram

‘Everyone’s saying 80-20, 70-30, 75-25… the actual answer is I’ve offered him 60-40.

’40 per cent of this amazing fight because I want this fight to happen.

‘He doesn’t have any excuses now not to take it. He can’t say I’ve lowballed him, offered him 20% or 30%.

‘I’ve offered the people 40% – that's it or leave it, let us know.’

On Tuesday September 6, Fury’s promoter Frank Warren confirmed that talks have already begun with Joshua’s entourage.

‘We’re sending a written offer across today to them, my son George spoke with Eddie Hearn yesterday,’ Warren told talkSPORT.

‘It’s us who have made the approach to give AJ a great opportunity to get himself back into the top level against the world champion Tyson.

‘He’s willing to make that voluntary defence, so we’ll send the offer across today and then they’ll have to look at it and decide whether they wanna grab this with both hands.’
