Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard has not given up on securing more signings
The Midlands club are in miserable form so far this season, losing again to Arsenal in the Premier League on Wednesday.
Villa find themselves second from bottom with only three points from five matches.
Asked about whether they can secure one or two more players before Thusrday, Gerrard said to reporters post-game: "There's obviously very little time left, but people are working ever so hard in the background to try and get some support in where we feel like we need it.
"I don't think it makes sense for me to say where and how many, but we are working hard to try and make additions and for one or two to go the other way."
