Champions League: Ancelotti gives update on Benzema injury after Celtic win

Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti has said Karim Benzema’s injury isn’t serious after victory at Celtic.

Los Blancos won their Champions League group opener 3-0 in Glasgow, but Benzema limped off in the first-half.

The France striker headed straight for the dressing room after 30 minutes in what is a worrying sign for the LaLiga side

However, Ancelotti said later: “It doesn’t seem to be serious. We’ll wait for tomorrow but early signs imply it’s nothing to worry about. We have to wait until tomorrow.

“It’s unclear whether it’s a muscle issue or if it’s his knee”.

Vinicius Jr, Luka Modric and Eden Hazard got the goals in Benzema’s absence.
