Ajax manager, Alfred Schreuder has dispelled fears Calvin Bassey could be set for a spell on the sidelines after he picked up an Injury in the club’s 5-0 win against Heerenveen.
Bassey suffered a knock in the closing stages of the game.
The defender was in severe pain after his left foot was badly hit.
“Calvin Bassey is doing okay. It was just a knock. Nothing bad,” Schreuder told reporters.
The Eredivisie champions will take on Liverpool in a UEFA Champions League clash at Anfield on Tuesday.
Schreuder’s side defeated Rangers 3-0 in their opening fixture in the competition.
