Flamengo midfielder, Joao Gomes has admitted his “greatest desire” is, in fact, to play for Premier League club, Liverpool.
Gomes has been linked with a move to Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, this summer.
Reports had emerged that Man United were prepared to pay £32million for the Brazilian.
But the 21-year-old himself might not be so keen on the idea of moving to Old Trafford.
“Liverpool is a team I would play for. I have the greatest desire to play.
“Playing in the Champions League is my biggest dream and that of my family, my biggest dream in football,” Gomes told ESPN Brazil.
