Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, has singled out forward Luis Diaz for praise ahead of his side’s Premier League tie with Manchester United on Monday night.
Diaz has done well since joining Liverpool in January, and Klopp believes the player has shown his quality.
With Liverpool facing Manchester United in their next Premier League fixture, Klopp was full of praise for Diaz, who is likely to start against Erik ten Hag’s side.
Speaking about the start of Diaz’s career at Anfield, Klopp said at his pre-match press conference:
“He had to play immediately because two boys were at the Africa Cup of Nations, so, that helped him settle in. That gave him immediate confidence. It’s his quality, his talent, his skill set. He is a really good player.
“We knew it before and when you are really good, it’s easier to settle in. He has this special thing: He can score from outside the box, which for a striker is really important. He’s very, very important for us.”
