Liverpool transfer plans not impacted by slow start and Man Utd defeat

Liverpool's transfer plans are not affected by their poor start to the season.

The Reds, who were within an inch of the Premier League title last term, have drawn two and lost one of their opening three matches.

After deadlocks against Fulham and Crystal Palace, Liverpool were beaten 2-1 at Old Trafford by Manchester United on Monday.

According to Sky Sports, despite calls from several ex-players including pundit Jamie Carragher, Liverpool are calm about their transfer plans.

They want to sign a top-class central midfielder or two, but believe that such quality is not available in the market at present.

The Reds feel the value is not there to strengthen Jurgen Klopp's squad at the moment.
