Gallagher breaks silence on red card after Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Leicester

Chelsea midfielder, Conor Gallagher, has apologized to his teammates, staff and fans after he picked up a red card in the first half of their 2-1 win over Leicester City on Saturday.

Gallagher was shown two yellow cards within 28 minutes of the game at Stamford Bridge.

However, Thomas Tuchel’s men went two goals up thanks to a Raheem Sterling brace, before Harvey Barnes pulled one back.

Gallagher, writing on Instagram, admitted he let his side down.

He wrote: “Proud of the team for digging deep today and winning with 10 men.

“Personally, I want to apologise to my teammates, staff and the fans. I take full responsibility for the rash decision leaving them with a huge challenge for the rest of the game. Thankfully, they came through.”
