Watford boss Rob Edwards expects Emmanuel Dennis to be sold in the coming days after he was left out of his squad during Friday's 1-0 win over Burnley.
Nottingham Forest have agreed a £20m deal with Watford for the striker.
"I think it's progressing," Edwards said. "Things may have been happening while the games been going on as well. I don't know, but I think it's getting there."
The arrival of Keinan Davis is expected to go through, with the Aston Villa striker spotted at Vicarage Road.
"He's imminent," added Edwards. "It's my understanding it's very close. I'm delighted with that. I think he's an excellent player.
"Keinan brings loads of qualities. All being well if things get sorted he will bring a lot.
"There's not much he can't do I don't think at this level. He can get hold of the ball, he can bring people into play, he can run in behind and he can find a bit of magic on his own.
"That's something that will add to us at the moment."
