Commonwealth Games: Cross River-born tennis star commends FG for paying entitlements


Edem Offiong, an African Table Tennis champion, has commended the Federal Government for paying up all their entitlements.

Offiong is currently participating in the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

In an online interview with journalists in Calabar on Friday, she said the Ministry of Sports has adequately attended to their needs at the games.

“The Ministry and Youth and Sports has paid all us all our entitlements.

“Everything is going on smoothly in Birmingham. I don’t have any challenges for now. I’m so happy with the atmosphere.

“We are 4 of us. Myself, Fatimo Bello, Ajoke Ajumu, Oribamise Tosin. I’m in the round of 16 women’s singles

I am going for my double event and singles events today,” she said.
