Fenerbahce defender Kim Min-Jae is currently undergoing a medical with Napoli.
The South Korea international flew into Italy this morning and will sign his Napoli contract provided he passes medical checks at the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome.
Napoli view Kim as the long-term replacement for Kalidou Koulibaly, who left for Chelsea, and are ready to meet his £16.9m release clause.
Rennes were ready to pay the same amount but the player chose to move to Italy after Napoli officials flew to Istanbul to close the deal last week.
Everton were also linked with a move for the defender.
