Joel Matip says Liverpool's dressing room is delighted for Darwin Nunez after he scored four goals in the 5-0 win over RB Leipzig on Thursday night.
Nunez, signed for a club record fee this summer, had copped flak for his performances against Manchester United and Crystal Palace.
But there was nothing the critics could say after the win over Leipzig, and Nunez's team-mates are 'really happy' for him.
"I think everybody is really happy for him and was looking for him [in the dressing room]," Matip said of Nunez when speaking to the club's website post-match.
"Great finish, great speed and the body he always puts in – I think it will be really difficult for our opponents.
"We had quite a good time there on the pitch but it was a preparation game and we try to be in the best shape we can. For this we have to train and a few days to prepare the league."
